Amrut – Cask Strength Indian Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 61.8%)

This is Amrut Cask Strength, an Indian single malt bottled at 61.8% in a 70cl bottle. It is golden yellow in colour. The nose combines bourbon notes with rich barley, reminiscent of a caramelised biscuit dunked in coffee, with some spice. The palate is bitter-sweet, with oak and barley closely joined, soft oils and a sharp note of blood orange. The finish is long, with bourbon and buttery oak characters, dark sugar and cocoa.
