Amrut – Cask Strength Indian Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 61.8%)

Amrut Cask Strength is an Indian single malt whisky in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 61.8% ABV. It is made from carefully selected Indian barley grown at the foot of the Himalayas. The nose combines bourbon notes with rich barley, suggesting caramelised biscuit dunked in coffee, with a spicy edge. The palate is bitter-sweet, with oak and barley closely bound together, soft oils and a sharp note of blood orange that gives way to something more buttery. The finish is long, with bourbon and then buttery oak character, and a trace of dark sugar and cocoa.
