Amrut – Cask Strength (70cl, 61.8%)

Amrut Cask Strength is an Indian single malt bottled at 61.8%, the strongest bottling from the Amrut distillery in Bangalore. It comes in a 70cl bottle, in a metal tube. The barley is grown at the foot of the Himalayas, and the whisky is distilled in small batches. It is bottled without chill-filtering or added colour. The nose is spicy and fruity, with vanilla and caramel. On the palate, strong malt and spice recall an Irish whiskey. The finish is long and lingering.
