Amrut – Double Cask Batch 3 Indian Single Malt Limited Edition (70cl, 46%)

Amrut Double Cask is an Indian single malt of about five years old, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. This is Batch 3, released in June 2017 in a limited run of 1050 bottles. It is a vatting of whiskies distilled from Scottish peated barley. One part matured in a bourbon cask filled in May 2012, the other in a port pipe filled in March 2012, which gives the whisky its name. The nose is rich honey with floral notes, assorted fruit and oak. The palate has tropical fruit, lime and subtle spice, and the finish is fruity with delicate oak, cinnamon and a hint of pepper.
