Amrut – Fusion

Amrut Fusion is an Indian whisky first made in 2009. It is produced from 25% peated Scottish barley and 75% unpeated Indian barley. The two malts are matured separately, then blended in measured proportions and left to marry for three months in ex-bourbon casks. The nose is complex and oaky, with a little barley sugar and soft smoke. Vanilla, barley and fruit come through on the palate, together with chocolate and mocha. The long finish is spicy and malty, with dry peat and oak.
