Amrut – Indian Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Amrut Indian Single Malt Whisky is a single malt from India, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made from Punjabi malted barley, grown almost entirely on the fertile plains at the foot of the Himalayas, and matured in casks previously used for bourbon. It is not chill filtered, so that it keeps its natural characteristics at bottling. Spice and ripe fruit characterise the whisky. The palate is fruity, with hints of spice and chocolate that come from the bourbon casks.
