Amrut – Intermediate Sherry Indian Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 57.1%)

Amrut Intermediate Sherry is an Indian single malt made from carefully selected Indian barley grown at the foot of the Himalayas. It is bottled at 57.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It matures first in a combination of ex-bourbon and new American oak casks, then in sherry casks, and finally returns to ex-bourbon casks. The sherry casks act as the intermediary stage, which gives the whisky its name. The nose is moist cake, fruity and spicy, complex and multi-layered. The palate is oak-led, with sultanas, spice, liquorice, orange and honeycomb. The finish is long and elegant.
