Amrut – Kadhambam 2019 (50%)

Amrut Kadhambam is a single malt whisky from India. The name means "blend" or "fusion", and it refers to a maturation in three kinds of cask: rum barrels, sherry barrels and brandy barrels. It is bottled at 50% ABV. The whisky matured in the warm Indian climate, where evaporation and contact with the wood are particularly intense. The casks are blended so that no single one dominates. The nose offers dark sugar, raisins, dried figs, rum, candied orange, spice and wood. The palate is rich and oily, with molasses, sherry sweetness, cloves, cocoa and nuts. The finish is long and warm, with sweet and spicy notes.
