Amrut – Kadhambam Indian Single Malt (70cl, 50%)

Amrut Kadhambam is an Indian single malt bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colour. Its Tamil name means 'mixture' or 'combination'. The malt matures further in ex-rum, ex-sherry and ex-brandy casks, with the rum and brandy casks coming from Amrut's own production. The whiskies are then married in a set proportion in ex-bourbon casks. The nose combines rich floral notes with honey, nuts and vanilla, plus fresh oak, citrus and tropical fruit. On the palate, candied fruit meets light oak, with a fine touch of peat and well-integrated spice. The long finish is dry and warming.
