Amrut Kurinji is an Indian single malt at 46% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It is the second release in the Single Malts of India series, named after the Kurinji, a mountainous region, and shows traits that come from that locale.
The nose is floral, with pear and melon, muscovado sugar, vanilla, oak and a little toffee. The palate is fruity with a hint of citrus, then honey, vanilla, creamy toffee and floral notes. The finish is sweet and floral, with a dusting of cracked pepper.
