Ex-Madeira finish
A single malt from Amrut in India, matured mainly in ex-bourbon casks and then given an extended finish in ex-Madeira casks. Those casks came from family cooperages in Spain and Portugal. The Madeira finish adds sweetness and depth to Amrut's full-bodied spirit. It is bottled at 50% ABV. On the palate there is honey and ripe, jammy orange, with gentle oak, a touch of grapefruit bitterness and warming spice.
