Amrut – Neidhal Peated Indian Single Malt (70cl, 46%)

Amrut Neidhal is a peated Indian single malt, bottled at 46% without chill filtration or added colouring. The name comes from ancient Tamil Sangam literature, where it refers to the coastal region among the five landscapes of early Indian culture. It is made from Indian barley malted with peat from Islay, then distilled and matured at Amrut's Bangalore distillery in oak casks under tropical conditions. On the nose it has gentle coastal peat and bonfire smoke with citrus peel, vanilla and green mango. The palate brings sweet malt, toasted oak and tropical fruit alongside delicate peat and salinity. The finish is long and lightly smoky, with brine, citrus zest and honeyed malt.
