Amrut Neidhal Peated Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Amrut Neidhal Peated is a peated Indian single malt from Amrut Distilleries, bottled in 2021 at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was the first release in the Single Malts of India series, and the name refers to India's coastal regions. The outturn was 12,000 bottles worldwide, of which 1,200 were set aside for India. The whisky was matured in oak casks and has no added colour. Tropical fruit, vanilla and light phenolic notes come through on the nose, with a touch of sea salt. The palate is fruity, with phenols and a hint of iodine. The finish is long and phenolic, with sweet vanilla.
