Amrut – Neidhal Peated Single Malts of India (70cl, 46%)

Neidhal Peated is the first release in Amrut's Single Malts of India range, which sets out to show some of the country's lesser-known malts. It is a single malt named after the Neidhal, or coastal, region it is sourced from, bottled at 46%. A worldwide release of 12,000 bottles was planned, with 1,200 of them allocated to India. The nose offers tropical fruits and vanilla with soft phenols, and above all sea salt. The palate brings fruit cocktail and strong phenols with a touch of iodine, and the finish is phenolic with a little sweet vanilla.
