Amrut Peated Indian Single Malt is distilled in Bengaluru, India, from peated barley. This bottling dates from January 2021 and comes from batch 104, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The whisky matured in India's warm climate, which speeds up the exchange between wood and spirit. The result is a distinct smokiness with added depth and ripe fruit. The nose offers peat smoke, ash, spice, light citrus and malt. The palate is smoky and full, with dark malt, spice, light sweetness and wood. The finish is long, warm and smoky.
