Amrut Peated Single Malt is an Indian single malt from the Amrut Distillery in Bangalore, made with Scottish peated barley. The barley is peated to 24ppm. It is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered and with no added colouring. On the nose there is campfire smoke, roasted barley, buttery toffee and a hint of citrus. The palate brings peaty cereals, smouldering charcoal, burnt sugar, butterscotch and warming spice, with orchard fruit and rich malt. The finish is long, with savoury smoke, oak spice and a gentle sweetness.
