Amrut Peated is a single malt made at the Amrut Distillery in Bangalore, India, and sold here in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV.
Peat does not develop in India's tropical climate, so the distillery uses peated Scottish barley from Bairds Malting near Inverness. The malt is peated to 24ppm, and the spirit was distilled and matured in ex-Bourbon casks.
The 46% bottling is a step up in strength from the original release of this expression.
