Amrut – Port Pipe Peated Single Cask No. 2713 (70cl, 62.8%)

This is a peated Indian single malt from Amrut, drawn from a single port pipe, cask number 2713. It is bottled at a cask strength of 62.8% in a 70cl bottle. The port pipe sits alongside the peat in the character of this whisky, and the notes pair dark fruit and cigar box with earthy smoke. The nose brings blackcurrant, liquorice, cigar box, burnt oak and a touch of chocolate. On the palate come roasted apricot, juicy peach, cut grass, dry earthy smoke and cinnamon. The finish carries tobacco, meaty malt and raspberries.
