Amrut Portonova is an Indian single malt, bottled at a full cask strength of 62% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured first in new American oak and ex-bourbon casks, moved to first-fill Portuguese Port pipes, then finished in ex-bourbon casks. Nose and palate are exotic and vibrant, with raisins, vanilla, cherry liqueur and spices. It stays notably smooth on the palate despite the strength.
