Amrut Sherry Intermediate 2022 is a single malt from the Indian distillery Amrut, bottled at 57.1% in a 70cl bottle. It is described as a new concept for the distillery.
The spirit starts in a mix of ex-bourbon and virgin oak casks. It then moves for a period into sherry casks before going back into bourbon casks to complete its maturation.
The palate is rich and fruity, with oranges, grapes and cherries, plum jam and rose water. A range of spices runs through it, including cinnamon, light pepper and aniseed.
