Amrut Peated is a peated single malt from the Amrut distillery in Bangalore, India, matured in American ex-bourbon casks. Amrut means the nectar of the gods in Hindu mythology, and the distillery was founded in 1948.
The colour is golden yellow. The nose has fresh oak and light vanilla, with peat smoke and wood blending into an aroma that includes fruit and spice. The palate shows layered peat and forceful, youthful oak, with light malt and fruit. The finish is very long, with peat, malt and oak.
