Amrut – Single Malt

This is a single malt from the Amrut distillery in Bangalore, India. It is a young whisky, at around four years old, and is described as mild yet complex. The distillery was founded in 1948, shortly after the end of British colonial rule, and also produces brandy and rum. On the nose it is floral, with lavender alongside oak. Malt leads the palate, and the finish is fresh and of medium length.
