Amrut – Triparva (70cl, 50%)

Amrut Triparva is a triple distilled single malt from India, released as Batch 1 in an edition of 5,400 bottles. It is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. Triple distillation is a technique rarely used for single malt. After distillation the whisky matured in oak casks in India's tropical climate, where the warmth speeds up its interaction with the wood. The nose is honey, ripe apple, vanilla, soft citrus, floral notes and slightly spicy accents. The palate is silky, with malt sweetness, white pepper, oak, subtle caramel and a fresh minerality. The finish is long and clean, with lingering spice and soft woody notes.
