Angel's Envy Port Wine is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Louisville Distilling Company, founded in 2006 by Lincoln Henderson and his son Wesley. It is bottled at 43.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The bourbon first matures in freshly charred American white oak casks. It then spends three to six months in French oak barrels that previously held ruby port.
The nose brings vanilla, dark raisins, roasted nuts and a hint of maple syrup. The palate is creamy and sweet, with vanilla, maple syrup, dark chocolate and ripe dark fruit. The finish is softly sweet, with light fortified wine notes.
