Angel's Envy – Kentucky Straight Bourbon (70cl, 43.3%)

Angel's Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a port-finished bourbon from Louisville, bottled at 43.3% in a 70cl bottle. It typically spends four to six years in new, charred American white oak barrels. It is then blended and matured for up to six more months in Ruby port pipes from Portugal, before being blended again. The length of the finish follows the flavour reached rather than a fixed schedule. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The nose has subtle vanilla, raisins, maple syrup and roasted nuts. The palate brings vanilla, ripe fruit and maple syrup with toast and bitter chocolate. The finish stays sweet for a long time, with a hint of Madeira.
