Angel's Envy – Port Cask Finished Bourbon (70cl, 43.3%)

Angel's Envy Port Cask Finished is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Louisville, bottled at 43.3% in a 70cl bottle. It is blended by hand in small batches of eight to twelve casks. The bourbon first matures for up to six years in oak, then spends up to six months in ruby port barrels made from French oak. Each bottle carries its batch and bottle number. The nose shows vanilla, raisins, maple syrup and roasted nuts. The palate has vanilla, ripe fruit, maple syrup, toast and dark chocolate. The finish is clean and sweet, with a hint of Madeira that lingers.
