Angel's Envy Triple Oak Bourbon is a Kentucky straight bourbon made by Angel's Envy Distillery in Louisville. It is first aged in new charred American oak barrels, then finished in a blend of three cask types: Hungarian oak, Chinkapin oak and French oak. The finishing layers baking spice, toasted oak, dark fruit and gentle leather over the bourbon.
The nose has ripe apricot, toasted oak, honeysuckle, dry leather and pipe tobacco. On the palate come baking spices, a little brioche, vanilla custard, red plum and dark fruits. The finish is long and dry, with nutmeg, black pepper, cardamom, brown sugar and molasses.
