A Jamaican aged rum from Appleton Estate, distilled in the Nassau Valley since 1749 and crafted under Master Blender Joy Spence. It is made from Jamaican molasses derived from estate-grown sugarcane and is a blend of hand-selected pot still and column still rums. All component rums are tropically aged for a minimum of 15 years in oak barrels. Bottled at 43% ABV. The nose brings toasted almond, hazelnut, orange peel, vanilla, roasted coffee, molasses, tropical fruit and warm spice; the palate shows caramel, baked pineapple, banana, dark chocolate, subtle oak, cinnamon, allspice and gentle Jamaican esters; the finish is smooth and lingering with spice, toasted oak and creamy caramel.
Tasting Notes
Toasted almond and hazelnut lead into orange peel, vanilla, roasted coffee, and molasses, with hints of tropical fruit and warm spice.
Full-bodied and richly textured, revealing caramel, baked pineapple, banana, dark chocolate, and subtle oak, balanced by cinnamon, allspice, and gentle Jamaican esters.
Smooth and lingering, with notes of spice, toasted oak, and creamy caramel fading into a refined, lightly fruity close.
