Appleton Estate has produced rum in Jamaica's Nassau Valley since 1749. This 21 Year Old is a once-a-year limited release, individually numbered and signed by Master Blender Joy Spence, made from hand-selected pot and column still rums aged at least 21 years in the Jamaican tropical climate.
After individual ageing, the rums are blended and re-casked together for a further two years to marry. The estate uses American oak barrels, proprietary non-GMO yeast strains and naturally filtered limestone spring water.
The profile is dark chocolate, stewed tropical fruit, orange marmalade, espresso and warm baking spice, with a rich, almost silken texture and a long, deep finish.
