Archie Rose Distilling Co. – Single Malt Australian Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Archie Rose Distilling Co. Single Malt Australian Whisky is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It has mostly matured in Australian apera (sherry) casks of 100, 200 and 300 litres, alongside a selection of ex-bourbon casks and the distillery's own ex-rye casks, which were air-dried for 36 months. Each cask is coppered with a specific balance of toast and char. The toasting is lower in heat and longer in duration, so it penetrates further into the oak. The nose shows raisins, shortbread biscuits, dark chocolate and fresh herbs. The palate is luscious, with amaretto and sticky date pudding, ending on a note of espresso.
