Archie Rose – Rye Malt Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Archie Rose Rye Malt Whisky is made in coastal Sydney from malted rye and malted barley, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery chose malted rye over the more commonly used unmalted rye. The spirit matures in virgin American oak casks that were air-dried for 36 months. It won World's Best Rye Whisky at the World Whiskies Awards in 2020. It is described as layered and aromatic, with spiced custard, ginger, stone fruit and baked apple pie, and a fresh herbal finish that lingers.
