Archie Rose – Rye Malt Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Archie Rose Rye Malt is an Australian whisky made in Sydney from malted rye and malted barley, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Malted rye is used in place of the far more common unmalted rye, which the distillery treats as its point of distinction. The spirit matured in virgin American oak casks, air-dried for 36 months, in the maritime air of coastal Sydney. It has been named World's Best Rye at the World Whisky Awards. Tasting notes mention spiced custard, ginger, stone fruit and baked apple pie, with a fresh herbal finish that lingers.
