Ardbeg 10 Year Old is an Islay single malt bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour. It is known as one of the smokiest and most heavily peated whiskies.
The nose is strongly smoky, with peat and ash, a sweetness of vanilla and caramel, and a salty hint of the sea. On the palate peat and ash lead, followed by vanilla, honey and caramel, with a little pepper and ginger. The finish is long and intense, with peat and smoke lingering alongside sweet and spicy notes and a dry feel in the mouth.
