Ardbeg – 10 Year Old

Ardbeg Ten Years Old is a peated Islay single malt, matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled non-chill filtered. The smoke is balanced by the natural sweetness of the malt. The nose brings peat smoke with lemon and lime, dark chocolate, menthol and black pepper, then smoked fish, bacon and baked pineapple. On the palate, peat meets cinnamon toffee, brine, banana and currants, turning to espresso, liquorice and tarry smoke. The finish is long and smoky, with aniseed, toasted almonds and a trace of pear.
