This is a 2017 Committee Release from Ardbeg, an Islay single malt made as a limited edition to mark Ardbeg Day during Feis Ile 2017. It takes its inspiration from the kelpie, the sea creature of Islay folklore. The whisky was matured in Black Sea oak and ex-bourbon barrels. The Black Sea oak adds deeper, more savoury and spicy character to Ardbeg's peated style, alongside the distillery's smoke, citrus and maritime notes.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
