Triarach is an Irish single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43%. It was matured in three kinds of cask: bourbon for half of the whisky, Oloroso sherry for 40% and ruby port for the remaining 10%.
The nose brings stewed plums, poached pears and gentle Christmas spice. The palate is full and mouth-coating, with caramel sweetness, figs, dates and a subtle nuttiness. The finish is full-bodied, with banana bread and lingering warm spice.
