A limited edition Speyside single malt from Ballindalloch, made to mark the publication of John Sutherland's novel The Castle. It is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, and 2,400 bottles were released.
The whisky comes from ex-Bourbon barrels combined with ex-Peated casks, which give the distillery's honeyed spirit its first hint of gentle peat.
Ballindalloch's elegant house style is joined by a touch of smoke.
