Balvenie Curious Casks is a 12-year-old Speyside single malt, bottled at 47.3% in a 70cl bottle.
The distillery takes its name from the nearby Balvenie Castle and stands in Dufftown. William Grant & Sons built it in 1892 from the remains of the castle's ruined guest house, and it is sometimes called the little sister of Glenfiddich.
Eight stills operate there now, and Kininvie distillery has stood in the same grounds since 1990. The water comes from the Robbie Dubh spring.
