Balvenie Cask and Character is a 19-year-old Speyside single malt, bottled at 47.5% in a 70cl bottle.
Balvenie takes its name from the nearby Balvenie Castle, and the distillery sits in Dufftown. William Grant & Sons built it in 1892, largely by hand, from the remains of the castle's ruined guest house.
There are eight stills on site today, alongside Kininvie distillery, which has stood in the same grounds since 1990. The water comes from the Robbie Dubh spring, the same source Glenfiddich uses.
