Balvenie 14 Year Old Curious Casks is a Speyside single malt with an age statement of 14 years, bottled at 47.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The distillery takes its name from nearby Balvenie Castle and stands in Dufftown. William Grant & Sons built it in 1892 from the remains of the castle's ruined guest house. Today it runs eight stills, and since 1990 a second distillery, Kininvie, has operated on the same grounds. Its water comes from the Robbie Dubh spring, which also supplies Glenfiddich, often called Balvenie's big sibling.
