Balvenie 12 Year Old Doublewood is a Speyside single malt bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. As the name suggests, it is a double-wood expression with a 12-year age statement.
Balvenie is in Dufftown, which is often called the unofficial whisky capital of Speyside. The distillery was built by William Grant & Sons in 1892 from the remains of the ruined guest house at Balvenie Castle, from which it takes its name. It now has eight stills, and Kininvie distillery has stood on the same site since 1990.
