Balvenie 14 Years The Week of Peat is the second edition of the distillery's Peat Week release, bottled at 48.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It draws on a week when former distillery manager Ian Miller experimented with peat in drying the barley. Balvenie has made small amounts of peated whisky since 2002. Malt Master David Stewart MBE is also part of the story. The result is described as a classic Balvenie of honey, vanilla and citrus, wrapped in gentle smoke. The nose is soft, sweet peat smoke with light floral notes, butterscotch and honey. The palate is silky and round, balancing peat smoke, citrus, oaky vanilla and blossom honey. The finish is gentle smoke with long, creamy vanilla sweetness.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
