This is a 16 year old Balvenie single malt from Speyside, matured with French oak. It is bottled at 47.6% in a 70cl bottle.
Balvenie takes its name from the nearby Balvenie Castle. The distillery stands in Dufftown and was built in 1892 by William Grant & Sons. It has eight stills, and its water comes from the Robbie Dubh spring, which also supplies Glenfiddich.
