This is a 19 year old Balvenie single malt from Speyside, named Burnhead Wood. It is bottled at 48.7% in a 70cl bottle.
Balvenie takes its name from the nearby Balvenie Castle. The distillery stands in Dufftown and was built in 1892 by William Grant & Sons. Kininvie, a second distillery, has stood on the same site since 1990, and the water comes from the Robbie Dubh spring, which also supplies Glenfiddich.
