Creation of a Classic is a single malt from The Balvenie and part of the Stories series. It is the first bottling by Malt Master David Stewart to pair Balvenie matured in traditional oak casks with whisky from Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is lively, with vanilla and spice recalling dried cloves and chai over earthy, malty notes. The palate offers light oat syrup and crisp toffee with gentle spice and the drying effect of European oak. The finish is long, with dry oak.
