Black & White is a blended Scotch whisky first created by James Buchanan. It brings together grain whiskies and malt whiskies, among them Dalwhinnie, and has been matured in oak casks. The label has long shown two terriers, one black Scottish and one white West Highland.
It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is fresh and clear, with soft grain, a little honey, mild citrus and gentle spice. On the palate it is light and soft, with dried fruit, vanilla, creamy malt and barely any smoke. The finish is short to medium, clean and refreshing, with a soft sweetness and a touch of oak.
