This is Blanton's Black Label, a single barrel bourbon made at Buffalo Trace Distillery for the Japanese market. It is bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in a 75cl bottle, a lower strength than the classic Blanton's, and each bottle is drawn from a single barrel. It carries the brand's horse-and-jockey stopper.
The nose is light caramel, citrus peel, vanilla and soft oak. The palate brings honey, vanilla, gentle spice, toasted oak and hints of fruit, and the finish is smooth, clean and slightly sweet with delicate spice.
