Colonel E.H. Taylor Straight Rye is a straight rye whiskey named in honour of Taylor, bottled in bond at 100 proof (50% ABV) in a 75cl bottle. Buffalo Trace Distillery is the distiller.
The mash is rye and malted barley, with no corn. The bottle comes behind a vintage-style label, inside a canister reminiscent of those Taylor used over a hundred years ago.
Dark spices balanced with caramel undertones mark the flavour. The finish is dry and oaky, lingering with cinnamon and vanilla.
