Hancock's President's Reserve Single Barrel Bourbon (75cl, 44.5%)

Hancock's President's Reserve is a single barrel bourbon distilled at Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, Kentucky. It is bottled at 44.45% ABV in a 750ml bottle and is said to use a high-rye mash bill. The name honours Hancock Lee, who founded the Leestown settlement on the Kentucky River with Willis Lee in 1775. It became a well-known shipping port for tobacco, hemp and whiskey. The nose is strawberries and vanilla, with vanilla again on the palate. The finish is short, a lingering vanilla and a slight warmth in the chest.
