Blanton's Gold Label is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, drawn from Warehouse H and bottled at 51.5% ABV (103 proof). It is made from the high-rye Mash Bill #2.
Each bottle comes from one barrel, with the barrel number and warehouse printed on the label, and has one of eight racehorse stoppers that spell out B-L-A-N-T-O-N-S.
Spicy rye and tobacco lead the nose, with caramel, honey, dark fruit and citrus. The palate brings rye spice, charred oak, tobacco, honey and vanilla, and the long finish tapers from warm spice and oak into caramel sweetness.
